      Great place to build a client-facing career

      Pros

      All around really great people culture, for the most part everyone is super driven and willing to help You definitley do earn early responsibility especially if you show early aptitude It's fun getting to own client relationship at a young age

      Cons

      Work and day can be tedious and feel repetitive, you must like talking to people all day, every day The hurdle performance tracking can be stressful for younger Associates Increasingly tighter competition as clients seek to find cheaper alternatives Exit opportunities can feel limited to account management/customer success work

      - Work can be interesting - Young colleagues who are driven and engaged in cool things outside of work

      Cons

      - Most managers were promoted way too young, since AlphaSights only promotes from within, leading them to micromanage from a place of fear and insecurity - Management openly encourages you to lie (literally part of team training meetings) in order to recruit more experts

      Monotonous work

      Pros

      Get to meet lots of fun, similar-aged, hard-working people Get to work with genuinely interesting clients. Pay can be great, especially right out of college, if you perform well

      Cons

      Quality of the role is highly dependent on your team and manager. Your manager will micromanage everything you do. If you don't mesh well with them, the role becomes a nightmare. Moreover, they decide which projects you get, which directly correlates to how well you will perform, causing power imbalances and favoritism - managers are generally young/inexperienced. Hard to maintain MONTHLY quota (most sales-type bonus structures are quarterly, but AS has it monthly to maintain high anxiety for new grads) Extremely high turnover
