Pros
The front line staff to middle management are very mission driven and passionate about serving under-served communities. Many opportunities to grow for early professionals since it's a growing and dynamic organization.
Cons
Senior Leaders do not have the culture of teamwork, business acumen or leadership skills to commit to goals, thoughtfully plan 1 to 3 year actions and execute the plan. The CEO continues to blatant practice nepotism and does not practice data driven decision-making. Many of them are protecting their legacies by trying to win awards like Baldridge and blindly copying more mature organizations like Kaiser vs. building up the foundation of talent and leaders. As a result the "us vs. corporate" silos have grown, trust no-one politicking continues and the good and kind leaders are marginalized and squeezed out. It's very sad to see.
