      The company has a very structured, solid support system. There are well-defined systems in place to address any of its employees' needs and concerns.

      Cons

      Being a large corporation, sometimes changes take a long time to take effect, but everyone's voices matter in this company and are held in equal regard.

      Pros

      I have worked in the health care and education field for over 25 years. Of all the organizations I have been part of, AltaMed has been THE best at caring for its employees and most importantly its clients- the patients. Every single day, I feel myself and my fellow AltaMed colleagues are devoted to providing the best care possible to our often over looked and underresourced communities. As a new leader to the organization I am provided with resources, training, and support. I could not be happier and plan to retire here.

      Cons

      Nothing and no one is perfect. I can honestly say that our leadership continues to listen to us and values our voices. They are always looking for innovative ideas to support our work and our outside lives.

      Pros

      Strong sense of mission both for helping the underserved and investment into their employees. This is one of the few companies that I've experienced that holds tightly onto their mission statement. The culture of the company is both work hard and play hard. It becomes your family.

      Cons

      Some patients can be challenging, as is the same for anywhere. Pay isn't as much as other places.
