Pros

Good discounts, faith based, volunteer opportunities, nice clothes and accessories- but that's about all the good there is to it.

Cons

I could go on for days about the cons about this job. When I first started, the company was new and excited so it had great morale. As I stayed with the company longer, however, things just got worse. As a regular sales associate, I was expected a pay of minimum wage, but I'm pretty sure the company payed even less than that. I would work 30+ hours a week and my pay checks were absolutely no where close to where they were supposed to be even before tax deductions. There were times when we were forced to clock out early and continue working because we had reached our maximum limit on the pay roll and the company couldn't afford to pay us. I stayed for hours on end on Sundays to do floor sets and windows, which we were supposed to have off as a day of rest. I wouldn't get home until the early hours of the morning, just to come in a couple of days later and have everything changed from what I had worked on. The CEO is easily aggravated, and not once did I see the morals of what this company was supposed to project in him. He is constantly angry and unsatisfied with his underpaid employees' hard work, and I began to live in fear of "corporate visits" because of what was known to happen when they arrive. Promises were constantly made to employees of a better future with the company, but they only got worse I felt as if I were working on commission and forcing products to unwilling customers because that's what I was told to do. Customers would constantly come in and return clothes because they felt "pressured" to purchase something. Even after employees exercise their right to leave, they are seen as awful people for quitting. Lies are spread about them to make them seem like the bad person for being unsatisfied with how this company projects itself. Upon being hired, one employee worked for a few weeks and was never paid once. After she quit and told them she wasn't working for free, a manager gave her her wages in cash under the table. This company is not what it claims to be. At all. I have never been as unhappy in my life as I was the last few months of working there.

Pros

Employee discount was literally the only perk

Cons

This company treats people so horribly that even the best talent in the retail industry is made to feel incompetent and unsuccessful in their role. I watched EVERYONE from store leaders to brand reps come and go and I stuck it out because I cared about my team so much. Everyone ultimately left for the same reason: unrealistic expectations to the highest degree with no support to meet them. This was true from the moment I walked in the door and it made me wonder if I was even good at a job I’ve been doing for the last ten years, it severely messed with my mental health. These unrealistic expectations were also felt so deeply even by the brand reps, and all they wanted was to get to the end of a day and feel accomplished but that was nearly impossible. I don’t even have to list off all of the unrealistic standards because other reviewers have done so well at describing them. As you read this review and others like it, BELIEVE THEM! I read reviews like this one before I accepted the job and I didn’t believe them but I really wish I had. They have an overall rating of 2.7/5 FOR A REASON!

Pros

The colleagues you meet and connect with while trying to survive the trauma.

Cons

I am not a disgruntled employee who was fired; I chose to leave after a little over a year. This was (and still is) the most horrifically toxic workplace that likely exists in 2024. I was lucky enough to have an opportunity present itself sooner so I could get out of there. Not as many people are as lucky. This is not an exaggeration; this is a warning to anyone who chooses to read these reviews and use their best judgment: do NOT sell your soul to work for this company. It is NOT worth it. This company is on a downward spiral and is not going to improve while these executives and CEO are still in positions of power. I have experienced first hand the extremely abusive words of the CEO and the bullying of the executives he chose to hire and consistently promote. This man will go on a rampage and uproot the entire company in a matter of minutes because he has no control of his anger or impulses. The constant stress and inability to ever disconnect from work should be enough. After giving everything you have to be a good employee and hard worker, you will be told that you are worthless. You will be constantly on edge that your time to be impulsively fired on the spot is next. This company does not uphold their core values; businesses create core values for a reason but this business has completely abandoned their values for the sake of greed. This company is privately owned for a reason - money is funneling to the man in the main seat of power. Do not give this man the chance to abuse his power by working for him. Do your research. Ask questions. Look out for yourself.
