Pros

Cute clothes? Good discount I guess

Cons

These people will lure you in and sell you dreams. They're so "Christian" and are all about "helping people" EXCEPT for the people that actually work for them. You will give your blood, sweat and tears for Altar'd State and will get absolutely nothing in return. Maybe an extra discount once a year. The CEO, Aaron Walters, is sitting in a seat next to the devil with a pretty mask on that will fool you. He's the most bi-polar man on the planet. One day he is screaming at you (with his finger in your face I might add) and then next he is singing your praises. He will cuss you up one side and down the other. The only people that stay there are people that have been brainwashed into their cult-like atmosphere. They will work you like a dog for little to no money. Try 60-70 hour work weeks for $32,000. It's ugly. I promise you if you're in management, stay far away from this company. If you're in a key holder/assistant management roll and are looking to be promoted to a Store Manager, they will try to get you and give you no money. Don't do it. Your time will come and I promise it wont be with Altar'd HATE- as my former employees like to call it. Oh, also their awesome "Christian" culture allowed for all their stores to be closed on Sunday as a "day of rest" (which was also stated on the door), but shocker-- not anymore. Money is the root of all evil. Consider yourself warned.

Pros

Discounts off of merchandise Decent Co-workers Schedules were somewhat flexible Easy work - you literally would have to be an idiot to not be able to work here

Cons

Too many to list. The company pretends to be all about "being real" and "not like other companies" when in reality they are just like any other retail store, if not worse. All they do is push sale goals onto their workers, and encourage customers to buy, buy, buy. Furthermore, the quality of their products, particularly their jewelry, is just downright awful. Jewelry falls apart way too easily, especially when considering how much you are paying for it. Clothes also fall apart easily and can be found at other stores for MUCH less. Pay was weak, and getting more than two shifts a week was nearly impossible.

Pros

The pros to working at Altard State: Gorgeous stores, incredible product, great co-workers & an even better message. Customers old & new consistently tell me they come in to my store to "get away" from the everyday stress in their life. Altar'd State is not only a get away for customers but for their employees as well. If you want a job that will give back to those in need, as well as your self worth- this is the place for you.

Cons

We have growing pains. Were a young company, but tell me a company that doubles in less than 9 months that didn't have growing pains. Gets better everyday.
