Pros

The (legacy) product attracts a cult-like following. It's fun to sell and the company attracts some solid talent as a result. I have met some really amazing people through Alteryx.

Cons

I was employed with Alteryx for three years (left voluntarily) and worked through three weeks in June 2024. I never got my final commission payout. I contacted the commissions team and was informed that I had not earned any commissions in June. I verified that my counterpart at the time (team goal) did receive a June commission payout. Despite following up THREE (3) times, nobody will respond. I'm not surprised. The commissions team has to be stretched thin. In my time with company, nothing implemented lasted six months. There were layoffs, reorgs, acquisitions, new playbooks, new account alignments... that's a lot to sort out. I sincerely hope there isn't a possum crossing in western Utah, it might actually impede this company from functioning. More tactically, we were incentivized to sell the cloud "platform", but it felt dishonest. Conceptually, it was really cool, but there were huge gaps (and bugs) in the functionality. At the time of my departure, Designer Cloud could not perform an "analytic" (window) function comparing rows of data with pushdown processing. Tough sell when your primary target is a finance team doing period-over-period analysis. Just learn SQL...? Learning a simple coding language might save you the frustration of a code-free solution that just doesn't work. Internally, the "analytics company" can't figure out measurement. I, and a few others, "qualified" for president's club, only to have it pulled back with an explanation of "oops, Workday updated". Never thought I would leave a one-star review when joining this company. Take it with a grain of salt. This company needs a new breath of life. It likely won't get it under private equity. Good ideas die slowly.

Pros

Pay was higher than other options. Many roles are fully remote. Work/Life balance is great because there is not really any work to do and everyone is just sitting around waiting to get laid off again.

Cons

This company is a mess. It was recently acquired by two private equity companies and almost all of the executive team have left - there has not been a CEO/CFO or anyone remotely at the executive level for months (many months). There appears to be no plan for a CEO on the horizon. There are MANY meetings but nothing is ever accomplished in these meetings. There is a lot of circle talk, uncertainty, and passing the buck. There are no employees around to make business decisions.
