Pros

Alteryx has some of the best people on the planet to work with - Full Stop. Make no mistake about it first line leader and below Alteryx hires superstars. They pack the house with passion workhorses and people who bring their hard work metal lunch pales to work everyday. Alteryx at one time had something magical in its culture as well. You knew what you were working towards and you knew that others had your back.

Cons

New Leadership has come in. They think less of our great culture and our Diligent approach to customers. America's sales leader who make no mistake was let go finally figured it out... Grow the business organically one user at a time + Push top down. User prospecting and AIPs are the way to go. A month after that he was shown the door. Traditional Alteryx AEs know how to sell don't insult their intelligence by saying the need education. The problem lies in the fact that Sellers spend a little less than 40% actually selling. The constant updates and internal meetings has taken most of the time away from selling. If you are a new leader take the time to listen you might learn something from the fantastic folks alteryx has hired over the years. Just because something works when you sell routers doesn't mean it translates to selling analytics. There are still good people there... there are people that know what good looks like. Promote the people that understand the business not by thinking that you can drop a pallet of routers with a set of partners and immediately recognize the revenue. Also be prescriptive about how you treat partners in the future don't buddy up with IT vendors you aren't selling routers - you are selling to the business.

Pros

Benefits, vacation, and salary were competitive. Product was great before the new executive leadership team stepped in..

Cons

I joined Alteryx with high hopes for a fulfilling career and a positive work environment, but my experience has been nothing short of disappointing and disheartening. The company's culture is toxic and demoralizing, hindering any chance for personal and professional growth. From the top down, it's clear that executive leaders prioritize their own financial gains over the well-being of the company and its employees. The focus on bonuses and stock payouts seems to outweigh any genuine concern for fostering a healthy workplace or ensuring employees feel valued and supported. One of the most glaring issues is the abundance of middle management that appears utterly clueless about their roles and responsibilities. This lack of competence has left entire teams in a state of uncertainty and confusion. Witnessing colleagues seeking guidance from their managers, only to be met with indifference or even blacklisting, highlights the severe disconnect between management and the workforce. HR, supposedly a resource for employees, is disappointingly ineffective. Instead of advocating for the well-being of the staff, HR often sides with the problematic middle management, leaving employees without a voice or avenue for addressing their concerns. It's evident that the company's priorities are misplaced, focusing on shielding those in power rather than fostering a supportive environment. The heartless and numerous layoffs that have affected long-standing, talented, and high-performing employees further exemplify Alteryx's disregard for its workforce. The sacrifices made by dedicated veterans are seemingly insignificant compared to the perceived gains of the C-suite. This pattern of prioritizing profitability over people has left a devastating impact on the company's morale. In conclusion, my time at Alteryx has been marked by disappointment, frustration, and a sense of betrayal. The toxic culture, lack of competent leadership, and the dismissive attitude towards employees have created an environment that is neither conducive to professional growth nor personal well-being. I can't recommend this company to anyone seeking a supportive and fulfilling workplace.

Pros

Long time player in the space, robust customer base. Good amount of resources you have access to. Exec's willing to roll their sleeves up and help close the deal (I will credit that to them). Strong partner ecosystem.

Cons

Journey to the cloud is going to be ugly, upper leadership doesn't know how to run a cloud business. Desktop product is great for older school organizations, but any customer with a modern cloud strategy hates it. Cloud product is two years away from being viable option and addressable to the larger market. Internal politics between on-prem and cloud team limiting growth.
