Pros

CEO and President of India operations, both are the only plus point of this company. No other pros. They will pay you good salary because they are not able to get good candidates because of bad reviews and no brand name.

Cons

They do not have their work of their own, just a typical service based company. If you are looking for a vision to work in a company for 2+ years, never join this. It is good for staying for 1 year, increase your current package and then switch to a big company. You will always feel at risk here, nobody can answer what's next question here.

“Glad to hear ….. While we respect your views, we wonder if it was an isolated experience. In a company that is growing at an excess of 60% year-on-year, re-investing a big chunk of its profits into creating IP including patents, there is no question of “what next”. We generate a good portion of our revenue from our IPs and solutions and on cutting-edge technologies including IoT and are far from being a regular services company. We are global, have development centers, design studios and innovation labs and are a confidently growing workforce. If you have faced an isolated instance of such an experience, we deeply regret it and strongly encourage you to write to us at confidentiallyspeaking@altimetrik.com

Dear Employee, As always we are happy to receive feedback through internal U&I engagement forums / social media. Altimetrik is young and growing and we are continuously finding opportunities to better ourselves in every aspect. Policies and practices are progressive and are continuously mapped for market best practices. Growth in terms of role and financials are less restrictive, Uncluttered compensation structure to ensure you have more cash in hand. Furthermore, we are always open to salary negotiation at the time of offer. Growth can be 2 kinds. One that is given when employee(s) demonstrates that he/she can handle larger responsibilities and presence of an open position for a higher level. Second, are for continued performance in the same role and necessarily a movement to a higher level position. Please reach out to your PE Partner / Reporting Manager to discuss your specific case for next steps. Our best performing employees who fulfill the eligibility criteria are appreciated through our Rewards & Recognition program. For any work infrastructure related issues, you are more than welcome to reach out to the Admin Team and we will see what is the best that can be done for your particular case.

Pros

Compensation is good. Safe only till the project last.

Cons

I was recently laid off after working here for more than five years as a QA Lead. Over the past year and a half, there have been a lot of structural changes. The company was acquired by another organization, and it also acquired another company. In order for the company to be listed, we were forced to sell all of our ESOPs. Problems started after that. Before, there was no pressure, and the company was good and employee-friendly. But after listing, it seems there has been a lot of pressure from stakeholders to show the company as profitable. There were also many changes in billing amounts, which caused existing clients to assign less work. As a result, many employees who had been on projects for 7–8 years ended up on the bench. Once on the bench—or even before—HR would push you to attend internal openings. The twist is that there were no projects in other accounts, as they were facing the same issues. Some clients extended timelines by just 2–3 months, but HR would still ask you to attend interviews for the sake of it. If you performed well, they’d say the client closed the position; if not, they’d say you didn’t perform well. After 3 interviews—or sometimes just 1—they would start asking or even forcing you to resign, citing no projects and an overwhelming bench capacity. They would continuously call you to resign and look for opportunities outside. It wasn’t just me—even people who had joined just 3 to 6 months earlier were told to leave the organization. I don’t understand why they are still holding interviews for projects. In most cases, candidates are rejected. It seems they are trying to show stakeholders that there are requirements and that interviews are happening, but in reality, it’s the opposite. I never faced this situation before; it started about a year and a half ago. I would suggest not joining this organization for at least a couple of years. Let them settle down—it might take at least that long. Layoffs are happening for every position, from junior developer to manager and beyond. Only join if you are desperate, and even then, hope you won’t be laid off.
