Pros

Opportunity to sell new construction homes.

Cons

Low commission structure compared to all other builders. High turnover from staff. Micromanagement even though you are hired as a 1099 contractor. Daily check ins on traffic, weekly meetings, and constant tasks as if we are W2 employees. New staff constantly from high turnover, and ever changing systems and processes because of Knee jerk decisions . Company also moves community managers to different neighborhoods or townhomes because of high turnover, and does not pay full commissions. Company constantly figuring out a way to not pay or lessen commissions when a home closes. No proper policy on paying commissions or tracking clients you worked with while moving community managers around. Several community managers paid less or not at all with all the moving and turnover. Poorly written independent contractor agreement puts all risk on the contractor. You will use your own vehicle, time, equipment to sell homes. Company puts sales goals too high based on traffic to barely receive a commission much less a bonus while constantly micromanaging traffic and leads you handle as a 1099 contractor. You will to be open to being screwed over on sales commissions in the real estate world since you are not representing anyone, and performing ministerial acts which the builder holds all control. 6-7 new community managers in the last year. Worst off when you close a sale, you are not paid for almost a month after. No future, do not recommend, do not work here!

Pros

Room for growth The employees needs/concerns are always important Ownership is always looking for ways to grow as a team Learning and training is encouraged 100 %

Cons

If you are not a fit you will know it immediately and that might make you either feel very uncomfortable or make you want to leave because team work and hard work IS required. If you have a strong work ethic and love to work with the best, then this shouldn't be a con.

Pros

Competitive projects. Opportunity to gain experience in residential construction.

Cons

VERY high employee turnover. Leadership often appeared unwilling to accept accountability. Decisions were, in my experience, frequently based on personal opinions rather than objective facts. Employees could be blamed for decisions made or approved by ownership. Poor communication and lack of trust. Limited opportunities for long-term career growth.
