If you constantly say yes to everything you’ll shoot right to the top! Just make sure you don’t have ethics or value truth.
Cons
0 training including FERPA and dealing with student information systems. If you take the paid time off that they give you you’ll be marked negatively for it at least in internal interviews. (I was compared to a director that had been out of the office because of a disability (advising)). No opportunity for advancement, no professional development for classified employees, a staff council the head of HR put herself on making it extremely uncomfortable. Leadership—- complete lack of actual leadership just micromanagers. At least in student affairs/enrollment.
