Pros

- constant learning experience / extremely steep learning curve; an ideal place for those who are naturally inquisitive and love to learn and develop - forefront of e-commerce/tech sector - very fluid mobility across teams and functions; this is actively encouraged with minimal red tape - surrounded by intelligent, ambitious, and mostly friendly people

Cons

- workload can be intense at times, so be aware of what you're signing yourself up for; management is generally very understanding of WFH opportunities and support people with families - career progression is difficult; management tends to hire individuals externally into roles than to promote from within - this is a confusing process as it causes a lot of churn. talented individuals who are deserving of promotion eventually leave and take their knowledge with them, only to be replaced by someone externally who requires a fair amount of time to get up to speed - this can be demotivating for those who love the company and want to stay, but also seek to look out for their best career interests - initial compensation is great; minimal base salary increases thereafter (i.e. lucky to beat inflation) - but good-to-top performers do receive lucrative grants of shares on an annual basis - can be a bit chaotic in terms of organization at times, but this is a side-effect of a Day 1 culture and much better than having calcified and rigid processes that stifle innovation and agility
