Earth's Best Employer

Pros

Amazon has included "Strive to be Earth's Best Employer" as one of their Leadership Principles. Early into my tenure as an Amazonian, I can see those efforts in action. The benefits are top-notch. Overall compensation is at the high end of the market for most positions. Great opportunity for growth/advancement. Excellent culture.

Cons

I'm sure it varies based on location and job function, but I feel a bit disconnected from my team and left with a desire for a bit more direction. This is very specific to my individual experience so other's experience will vary.

Pros

My current team's WFH policy is very flexible

Cons

Dwindling stock price means total comp is taking a nosedive, and salaries are not always competitive
