Pros

Here at Amazon you will find the best talents in the industry and the smartest minds out there. Everybody is very helpful and the culture around you is rich, diverse and modern. You will never be bored and the complexity and the scale of the infrastructure that you will work with is something that you will not find in other places. If you like a fun but challenging environment you will not be disappointed. You will work long but awesome hours.

Cons

The learning curve is very steep here. You can get help from everybody but your success will totally depend on you and how much time you will want to invest. Working at Amazon is like going to a challenging college. You will learn every day something new, but you will never know everything that there is to know, just because of the scale and number of different technologies used.
