Pros

I worked in AWS sales and business development roles in a leadership capacity for almost 8 years. I loved the culture - work hard, play hard, change the world. Great opportunity to build a great business and express your talent in creative and imaginative ways. Your enjoyment and happiness depends a lot on your attitude. If you can work hard and keep your spirits high, you can have a blast. Do not get into a negative mindset or you will be unhappy with the fast pace and growing pains.

Cons

Great company and fast growth. Many new managers that do not understand the AWS culture. It can cause disappointment among staff when the bar is lowered in hiring.

Pros

Huge customer focus, exciting and challenging problems to solve, surrounded by brilliant people. Very fast-paced work culture.

Cons

If you’re in a remote office chances are that you will have US employees transferring to your site and making 4-5X your salary for doing the same level of work. This is because non-US salaries are really low and the way to compensate these US individuals is to pay them their home salary, leaving the rest with a poor local one.
