Broken machines 3. 1-2 sec tote exchange, 7-sec average to remove the item from the pod with the product- put it into a tote- then hit the button to assign an item to the tote. if you do not meet these expectations then they will constantly tell you how awful of a worker you are and how you need to improve asap or you will be written up. 4. My manager tried to blackmail me into improving my rate, told me how tired i looked every morning, micromanaged me constantly, and eventually drove me to quit. My PA told me my calves were too small to be a tote runner. Old men//all men stare at you if you are a girl (cover-up) 5. Terrible on your body. My friend told me he has a constant crack in his back from picking for a -year-. 6. Presented a video about wellness & if you are experiencing these symptoms then report them to your manager. So I did and when I went to "wellness" which is kinda like medical, they told me to take ibuprofen and slap some Biofreeze on it-- then didn't provide me anything. Useless 7. Offered "free" shoes-- they are free because no one wants to buy them. terrible reviews. mine rubbed the hell out of the back of my heel and made my feet ache. Offer the shitties candy and free snacks-- the cheapest thing to make it look like they kinda care. 8. You must run to the bathroom. if it is being cleaned or has a line-- too bad u have 5 minutes and if you aren't back then u get "time-off-task" which affects ur rate- don't worry, your manager will ask where you were during that time & ask why u weren't working. Don't work at amazon--- they only have staff because they are hiring & taking advantage of people that need the money to put food on their family's tables or to pay rent, etc.

My role was not explained very clearly prior to my start date. I started with about 30 people and there is only 2 of us left. I am aware Amazon has one fo the highest turn over rates but it has to do with the way their hiring process and the way employees are treated. During our summer season we were told by department leads we would get a bonus of 1k, after waiting a month and a half they gave us a bonus but it was our pay plus the difference to equal 1k.... The pay system is strange and if you clock in more than 5 minutes late they take away an entire hour of pay, same goes with if you clock out more than 5 minutes early. I have lost over $400 since my start date 3 months ago based on this.
