Pros

There are no pros to working at Amazon, in my 5yr tenure. I wish there was an option to give zero stars.

Cons

- They reward top tier (TT) YoY 3yrs in a row performance with a layoff. You'll be passed over from promos - made to perform at the next level without ever actually getting to the next level. - In the name of AI, they lay off people working directly on AI measures. - They have no empathy, no morals, no ethics - you are just a number on a spreadsheet. You will be eliminated the first chance they get. - On paper, their salary seems great. But remember the caveat - stocks vest over 4 years, not right now. They have abysmal base pay. The minute there's a big stock payout due to you, you'll be laid off. And timing will be so careful that you'll miss your payout by 1 day. - You'll have no work-life balance. Your soul will be sucked at this company. - You'll work under the most un-inspiring leaders, lacking any kind of vision. Everyone is there looking at their own interest, and they'll throw you under the bus the first chance they get.
