Pros

Really big company and fast paced. You will get to work on some really cool things. The pay is very good.

Cons

Oncall can be crazy You will either love it or hate it based on your manager. Most of what you will work on won't help you outside of AWS.

Pros

Some of the most intelligent people I have met work at AWS, this is still a place where you can learn and be challenged everyday should you choose to seek it out.

Cons

The company communicates poorly, the headlines you read about are true.
