Pros

Nothing at all. The pros is the free will to quit.

Cons

A waste of time. Bad training. The onboarding training was the worst experience. You’re doing a lot of back and forth for an embarrassing $12. On a bi-weekly pay schedule. They throw all of their NEW unused merchandise in the garbage. Horrible to the environment.

Pros

Independent position for the most part. One can make their own hours and work when it is convenient, as long as all tasks are completed on time. Casual work attire, including nice jeans. Company ID must be worn, so an apron or t-shirt is provided, along with a typical name tag on a lanyard. There is a reward system used by the Field Managers with "points" available to give out to Merchandisers, that can be added up in order to be able to "purchase" items from a catalog provided. Pay is standard; an above minimum-wage hourly rate, but not as high as other merchandisers working for other companies, yet not as low as others, as well. Mileage and time driving between stores is also provided.

Cons

Under new ownership, time allotments continue to be unrealistic and merchandisers either cannot complete all tasks assigned by their due dates, or they will go over their allotted times. Pay raises do not come often, and many hired recently will receive the same pay rate after a year or two that others worked for years to earn. While this may be common, it still feels unfair. This is the first year since I began with this company that a company gift was not sent to all merchandisers. Sign of the times.
