Pros

*The team are lovely and management are open to hearing ideas from all staff *Staff are not aggressive, second chances are given and there is a team spirit among staff. *If you work hard it will be recognised, management are encouraging and will make an effort to point out when you have gone above and beyond. *It is not a cut throat environment - however you are expected to work hard and you do need to be organised to be one of the top performers. *There is the opportunity for international travel *Autonomy - maybe the best thing about the company - you are given a lot of chance to shape your role and bring in new processes and ideas.

Cons

*Management are sometimes scared to reprimand staff or give constructive criticism *Some staff have too much free reign, bad habits have been allowed to continue with no consequences *Too much gossip

Thank you for your writing a review. AIFS does care about their employees and we are always looking for way to improve the employee's experience especially since we spend a good portion of our day at work. Sorry to hear that you feel that your tasks are repetitive. If you find an efficient alternative to a task its always best to bring it to your manager's attention to see if this change can be implemented.

Amazing Company with Amazing People

Pros

I worked in the insurance division of AIFS for close to 7 years in a remote position. I seriously could not have asked for a better company or corporate culture. I felt supported throughout my entire time there without ever feeling micro-managed. When I saw my team during meetings and conferences, it felt like I was seeing old friends. The company goes out of its way to show how much it values its people. Each year, they host a year-end party and give out service awards based on how long someone has worked there. I was always amazed at the long list of people who stay for 5, 10, 15, and 20 + years. They also give out random gifts (trips abroad, etc) after drawing names out of a hat. Plus, they never skimp on food or drinks at events (especially drinks -- bonus). Speaking of drinks, they have a state-of-the-art espresso machine in their common area lounge for anyone to access (additional bonus). Now that I left to help my husband grow his business, I understand just how special AIFS is. The grass isn't greener where I am, unfortunately, but I am grateful for everything I learned and experienced while there. If you want a company that values hard work, diversity, and creativity but knows how to let loose and have fun, AIFS is worth considering.

Cons

I can't think of any.
