Pros
Working with a local agent, there can be a lot of opportunity to grow and develop, learning many life skills not only about insurance but how it also plays into other aspects of life. Pay was competitive, but no benefits offered from local agency.
Cons
The corporate office does not seem to take much input from the local agent and local agency staff who are taking the difficult calls from clients. The company continues to increase rates, and presents it in a unclear way with no help on how to best handle the calls about premium increases. Also, many issues with company provided software and website, but no clear way to submit suggestions. When a suggestion is made to improve, it never seems to go anywhere. Also, the culture of the company is very male-dominant and is plagued with religious favoritism.
