Disappointing

Pros

It's a job that pays (not well). Plenty of opportunities to learn because you're constantly asked to do more than what is reasonable.

Cons

Overworked, low pay compared to average, parent company has made things worse for all. If you're going to pay below average salaries, at least let people work remotely. Working in office with the amount of work given and the low pay is disrespectful to employees.

Recent changes have made the job worst

Pros

There's a free tier for health insurance.

Cons

New employees start with similar salary as experienced ones. Since the agile change, everything is done online, but we are required to be on-site. Some days I don't even talk to anyone.

Pros

Made some life long friends. We were all stuck in the same “black hole” so we all bonded over being miserable.

Cons

Is there a character limit? I don’t even know where to begin. This used to be a great place to work. Then, Brookfield took over, and it became miserable. First, the work from home option got taken away, then the hybrid schedules and our half days (that we used to make doctors appointments with so we didn’t have to use our much needed and hard earned PTO time) also got taken away. The AC at the South Shore location was not working properly several times, and they still would not let us work from home. IN THE DEAD MIDDLE OF SUMMER IN TEXAS! There is NO reason why we couldn’t have went home and finished out ONE day not sweating to death. They wanted us to use PTO for THEIR AC not working. I mean, seriously? Then come to find out, other departments still had the option to work from home a few days a week if they wanted. It was said around the office that it all depends on who your managers are, which is completely unfair to the rest of the employees who were promised our remote schedule was “here to stay.” Management is a joke. The harder you work, the more than pile on top of you, and don’t compensate you for it. They will DRAIN YOU and not even feel bad about it. The micromanaging is absolutely ridiculous. We are adults. There are definitely “favorite” departments and favoritism shown. There are zero perks to working here. You’re not appreciated, you’re not paid well, no bonuses, and the benefits SUCK!
