Cons

No DEI in leadership at the Springfield location. Much is invested in training and awareness but little is done about actually employing and promoting diverse leadership

American National recognizes that diversity within leadership brings a greater depth of experience and perspective, fostering innovation and a better understanding of employees and clients. The company is committed to continuing its progress in building diverse leadership teams across locations. Specific to our Springfield, Missouri location, since 2016 the percentage of women in officer positions increased from 17% to 21%; the percentage of Black, Indigenous, and People of Color officers grew from 4.2% to 12.5%.

A lot of pto, work life balance, definitely invests in their employees.

Cons

We recently got bought out so changes are happening but change can be good and they're investing in growing the company. Bring back work from home/remote options.

Pros

None anymore. No remote work. Benefits are changing so the coverage is sub par. The culture is toxic. The management is poor.

Cons

We work tirelessly to make sure our goals are met on time and yet, we are thanked with the ceo going back on his word and taking away the remote work option. And how fun was it to hear in our last company wide meeting that the company’s goal was something like 7 BILLION in the next year and yet there are so many of us that don’t even get paid a living wage. The lack of awareness concerning the well being of the very employees lives that work to make that goal happen is crazy.
