Pros

100+yr old company undergoing a rejuvenation. Executive team is progressive, approachable and dynamic. Leadership direction is supporting best-practices, tools to improve efficiencies, and operational success. Servant-leadership focus is evident in the safety based relationships developed and promoted, the focus on coaching and improving performance of all levels of associates. Clear intent on giving back to the community through Feed the Children volunteerism. Women in Supply Chain business resource group launched and is engaging, connecting and mentoring the organization's female associates while enriching the organization at all levels. Strong self-assessments and sponsorship of initiatives to improve the service and quality of the organization from food safety through to associate development.

Cons

If you are in Canada, there are only three locations. The pros are often cons if you are not willing to be engaged and prepared to bring your best. You've got to be prepared to adapt to cold environments, be open to changes on a day to day basis and be ready to be a positive change-agent and manager. This is whether you start as a forklift operator or General Manager.
