Amgen has first or best in class medicines in the pillars it's active in. It actively seeks to grow as a company and provides opportunities for its employees. The C-suite continuously and clearly shares its vision with clear roadmaps for how to achieve it. The employees on all levels seem to have good work/life balance and find meaning in their work.
Cons
Amgen has bases in many locations, most of which are in high cost-of-living areas. The salary packages are not competitive for these locations and are not on par with the rest of the industry.

We appreciate your review and value your feedback for our team. If there's anything additional about your experience that you'd like to share with us, please contact amgen@careers.pure.cloud. Again, thank you for reaching out today.
Company culture has stood out throughout the years. There are engagement events to remind staff of their mission (e.g., Amgen Mission Week). Accomplishments are celebrated and the senior leadership does a great job communicating company's vision.
Work/life balance has also been great for the technical staff. Staff are encouraged to make use of their PTO and Amgen Thousand Oaks has two weeks of site-wide shutdown throughout the year.
Cons
Overall compensation is lower than average compared to Amgen's competitors.
