      - Good benefits - Well work-life balance - Flexible work schedule and location

      Cons

      - Value staff to be agreeable than to be right - Lack of transparency on promotion criteria - Encourage staff to cover one another on mediocre work or loopholes, and then sugarcoat them as achievement - Encourage creativity but lack of harness, so staff tend to work in their own way which is disconnected from business need

      Pros

      Amgen is a very financialy strong organization with significant free cashflows and a strong cash position. It also has a very strong pipeline.

      Cons

      Sr. Management is currently dismantleing the organization. The staff is getting demoralized as there is little value placed on experience and there is a significant focus on bringing in people from the out side for new Sr. positions.

      Pros

      Benefits, 401K, and easy job. This is a good and bad thing. If you are content in where you are. This is the place to be.

      Cons

      no room for movement at all. Must play the politics game and be good at it cuz there are people that can outwit you. HR services are for managers only and no internal movement process in place. Stuck forever unless you leave. Also, the more cuts they do, the worse it gets for you. 6 days a week working, calling all hours of the night, this leads to no time with family/marriage life or in regard to your health.
