Pros

Too be honest, not really much besides the benefits & my schedule personally

Cons

For starters the position is a glorified call center job where your availability needs to be 7 days a week. Me personally I didn’t have to work a weekend. They also are very old school and have yet to adapt work from home especially when the entire company did it for 2 years with COVID. The biggest thing is the company has a “dependability” clause with time off, whether you use vacation, or unpaid time and the allotted slots are filled for that day, you get docked dependability hours for however many you take off. Still get paid if you use vacation, but get negatively effected….doesn’t really make sense??? For a company that preached about culture when I got hired, they don’t seem to really care about everyone leaving the department (myself included).

Pros

The benefits are very good!

Cons

The work load is insane. You are burdened with sales goals no matter if you're on a specialized team or not. Also with the continued high attrition rate, everyone who is trying to remain a dedicated employee is now tasked with the work of those who left. Those who are left are hanging on by a thin string. This Rob Peter to pay Paul mentality is not substanable. Customers are complaining as they're noticing the drop in customer service due to loss of staff and employee burnout.

Pros

Benefits are incredible. Generous time off (don't expect to be allowed to use it), solid medical insurance. Lots of benefits-related programs which on paper sound amazing. Some really great people work here as well! Truly, life-long friendships can be built here.

Cons

Amica is the antithesis of an open, inclusive, supportive, results-driven work environment. The work you do means nothing. The perception that a disconnected, ignorant, unwilling to change group of leaders has of you means everything in your career progression. Racism, homophobia, favoritism all run rampant here and go completely unchecked. I brought up concerns and was gaslit by HR and continuously forced to work for an abusive manager.
