Pros

Lunch Break as the break gives you time to breathe.

Cons

- WFM has made work life balance impossible (you are being watched during the full 8 hours of your shift, chained to your desk) - Employees are not shown empathy and are expected to stay on the phone at all times, if not you are treated like a child and asked questions to determine why it's taking you so long to get back on the phone. Amica pushes better customer service but how can you, when you push your employees so hard to meet unattainable goals? - Everyone is stressed at this job and it's even starting to show even with the employees. - No compensated correctly, work load continues to increase.

Pros

There are some really nice people who work here.

Cons

Amica management turned a good place to work into a negative micromanaged environment. While other insurance companies are increasing pay to keep up with inflation, Amica upper managements solution was to gave us new job titles. Instead of licensed insurance representative (which we all are) they gave us customer care. Only because if they call us licensed they would have to pay us more according to average salary data. Giving us a more demeaning title means they dont have to. They think we are dumb and dont realize this. Amica has too many managers, not enough people doing the actual work. Dont spend your life in a micromanaged call center. Look elsewhere.

Pros

Good benefits if you intend on having a family via adoption, IVF, etc.

Cons

Below average pay. Unrealistic expectations. Life dept referrals expected for advancement while not licensed to push/sell life insurance. Unaware or uncaring of cost of living in different states.
