Pros

Great work culture! One of the best places I've worked.

Cons

Training leaves a lot to be desired. Asked to come up with scenarios for problems you've never had, then get critiqued for not knowing what to do in said scenario is crazy. Maybe I'm old fashioned but asking someone who's never had experience writing an auto policy for non payment come up with with a realistic fake scenario is ridiculous. I don't know but maybe come up with a training you can follow along step for step? If not then don't nitpick the scenario (the person who knows nothing about these transactions) has come up with. Also I don't buy you can't do call shadowing. All calls are recorded so don't tell me you can't find at least one call that pertains to what an insured is calling about is crazy.

Pros

Amica was a great company to work for pre-pandemic. Nice people, reasonable work load, good benefits

Cons

Very limited work from home and dramatically increased stress. Seems to favor the unvaccinated

Thank you for your review and the feedback you shared. While some positions do have the opportunity to work from home, we consider Amica’s company culture to be best experienced in person rather than remotely. When it comes to vaccinations, please know that the safety of our employees has been a priority when considering re-entry decisions, and we continue to encourage all of our employees that can get vaccinated do so. If you have specific concerns that you’d like us to address, please email us at employeefeedback@amica.com so we can learn more and discuss them with you directly. Thank you.
