Pros
I normally do not get involved in anonymous public review sites, but I feel compelled in this case because of what some of the other reviews say. My experience at Amida was very positive, and I use them as a reference which they always provide. The team is excellent, as other people have pointed out. As a woman I have never dealt with a more fair and compassionate CEO. He always reminded us why we were there - to do stuff that matters with people we care about. It is true that he drives people very hard and has very clear ideas about what he wants. It is also true that he is the first person to help you solve a problem, even if you made the problem. He has a professorial discussion style that may rub some people the wrong way. I like it.
Cons
Amida has hired some very young people. I wonder if some of the other reviewers have had limited exposure to the ups and downs of professional life. The boss is supposed to tell you when you make mistakes. The CEO is accountable to his board. I have never heard him raise his voice to an employee and I would be very surprised if that was true. He always wants more. I think hiring a lot of people with limited experience was well intended but maybe is the source of some anxiety.
