      Pros

      Colleagues are just like family. I was given much leeway in managing my line by the expatriates, performance was based on results.

      Cons

      The pressure to deliver at least cost is getting into my nerve, resulting to work outside of the normal schedule which accordingly affect my health.

      Amkor Declines While Competitors Rise

      Pros

      Depending on which department you work for and which group in that department, things can go quite well. Your workplace experience is entirely based on your manager. Some are clock watchers, others are not.

      Cons

      I don't work in a group that sees "sensitive" information but when I look at the public info and compare it to the competitors, it looks like Amkor is doing something wrong. Amkor's quarterly reports seem downward while the competitors are upward. Managements explanation doesn't add up. Why are they doing better and we're not?

      Pros

      There are flexible hours for the most part. There is no micromanagement in my department. Many interesting projects to work on.

      Cons

      The pay at Amkor is lower than comparable companies overall. It can be very difficult to achieve recognition for any accomplishments. Some co-workers are allowed to telecommute, even though this is against company policy.
