Pros

Flexibility, though it's mostly due to management having absolutely no clue what employees are doing. Somewhat competitive salaries.

Cons

Management is terrifyingly bad. There's zero communication about team vision. Every single solitary thing is done at the last minute with zero forethought or planning. For months on end, there's no work but busywork and then there's suddenly eight months of work that must be done in two months. Management has no problems pressuring employees to work nights and weekends, vaguely promising comp time and other "perks" that are never delivered. Decision-making is done by one or two capricious people who have little to no experience teaching and refuse to listen to others who actually have clue about what it's like to be in the classroom. All in all, it's best to avoid this place if you don't want to get involved in Rupert Murdoch's wasteful, ineffective, and extremely poorly planned attempt to take over education in America. Vacation & sick leave is far below industry average. The office environment is depressing and moral is low. HR is atrocious at handling complaints. Payroll takes at least six business days to answer even the most basic of questions. Overall, this company is wildly unsuccessful, bleeding money, and losing deals. If you care at all about education, keep looking. If you're looking for a peaceful work environment, keep looking. If you're looking to be fairly well-paid but constantly stressed and feeling incredibly insecure, this is the place for you.

Pros

Some really nice people who care about the work they do. The majority of people really want to do good for the world. Work/life balance is great.

Cons

Terrible senior and middle management. Shifting business models and priorities. The only people who stay at this company are the ones making it a terrible place to work.

Pros

Unlimited PTO and the management allows you to prioritize your personal life.

Cons

Several RIFS (Reduction in Force) and regional shifts over the past few years. Every 2-3 years they change their management structure and give themselves 'reasons' to promote people they are personally close with, making the company seem very "clique-y". You can work so hard and never be promoted and they can get away with it because they can say someone just "isn't the right fit" for management.
