Pros

Some people get to work remotely but needs to be negotiated upfront.

Cons

Product managers and owners lack the necessary skills to run a build on time or on budget. They understand education but have zero knowledge or desire to understand what is required to get anything done. EVERY budget is blown by upper management who come in at the 11th hour and change the entire product. There is no trust within the company by management to allow employees (who they hired because they are smart and talented) to actually do their jobs and contribute toward the betterment of the product(s) and company. No one is guiding the direction of the company. I mean NO ONE. The morale is dismal. There is no way to advance in your career. The management has no structure in place that allows people to grow and contribute to the company therefore the talent eventually leaves. Many (including myself) took pay cuts to join the company thinking they would get increases based on performance. It doesn’t happen – ever. A 3K raise is considered fantastic. I’m seriously looking to be out by the end of the summer and many employees are in the same pursuit.

Pros

Not many, Wireless Generation days were better from what I was told, some good people still around, some good talent also around....

Cons

Very many...no communication, CYA galore, everyone is 'smarter' than you are, management team is always in flux, C-Level staff are involved in mundane, day to day not with the business end of things, $ is scarce and surrounding talent is leaving...

We were promised "ONE AMPLIFY" months ago. What happened?

Pros

The lights are still on and the elevators only try to kill you every couple months.

Cons

The continued inability of the executive leadership of this company to behave like leaders is frankly shocking. The only possible reason for this gridlock is that NewsCorp has NO idea what they're doing... or maybe they're taking their toys and going home. We were told there would be (yet another) consolidation/re-organization MONTHS ago and since then virtually NOTHING has been communicated, other than that a division CTO was promoted to Amplify CTO and Chris Cerf (CEO of Amplify Insight) was leaving the org. In the absence of direction, budgets for the upcoming fiscal year are mysteries, planning is at a complete standstill, and recruiting feels like an incredibly dishonest act. Hundreds of people trudge to work in DUMBO every day feeling like there's nothing good left about this company or their jobs. The level of discontent in the office is unreal. It's impossible to respect the people in C-level positions. Many have been serially unsuccessful for years, literally, and yet retain their jobs. They have no accountability. I am heartbroken to have invested years here, heartbroken for my team, and deeply concerned that having Amplify prominently on my resume will actively harm my future prospects.
