Pros

The HR department is great and helpful; most departments are willing to help each other; company is full of diversity and ERGs of all kinds helps employees of all backgrounds connect.

Cons

Compensation isn’t up to par for some roles. On certain teams, there’s no flexibility within the roles and learning styles of employees aren’t respected - things have to be done one way and one way only.

Pros

Good work-life balance, unlimited PTO, amazing people

Cons

You’ll never work an 8 hour day, more like 11-12. Upper Mgmt is extremely top heavy, good ole boy network. Implemented a strict Vaccination policy — get the jab or you’re out, whether you travel or not and testing isn’t an option.

We appreciate that you took the time to write a comment about your experience. We are proud of our leadership at Amplify and continually take steps to diversify our management and teams. Our vaccine policy is regularly updated to comply with federal, state, and local requirements, as well as school district customer policies. As of March 2022, only traveling employees or employees who will be required to meet in person are required to be vaccinated. Exemptions are available for employees in need of accommodation, and we work with their managers and HR to assess eligibility and implement alternatives wherever feasible.

Downward Spiral to Its Inevitable Death

Pros

Flexible working hours. Fairly friendly and intelligent colleagues who are disciplined and experienced in their job functions

Cons

Management changes directions every few months. Frequent "reorganizations" that resulted in many turnovers and poor maintenance of existing systems over the years. Company is supposed to integrate technology into education, yet, very few of the upper management seem to have any expertise in either areas. Company is supposed to be a newly formed "start-up", yet upper management seems to focus more on relationship management instead of gaining knowledge in the education domain and getting its hands dirty in the actual product. It's on a downward spiral before its eventual doom. It operates with many cons associated with those of a corporation - hierarchical structure, increasing bureaucratic, words like metrics, stability, initiative are becoming more predominant.
