Pros

It’s fully remote and no in person expectations

Cons

Company does not have structured internal growth plans, lacks investment in its employees, very weak compensation with a ridiculous bonus structure. If you’re looking to grow in a career, don’t expect it from Amplify. If you’re content with holding the same role with weak relative compensation this is the place for you.

Strong Team Culture with Opportunities for Process Improvement

Pros

The team culture at Amplify is one of its strongest assets. There are many talented individuals who are collaborative, driven, and committed to delivering results. Employees are often given opportunities to take initiative, lead projects, and contribute beyond their core responsibilities, which is good for skill set and not so good for mental fatigue. At performance review time, you’ll be told that these were “pleasure projects”, and they don’t contribute to “going above & beyond.” Gaslight much?

Cons

Frequent changes and shifting priorities can sometimes create confusion and contribute to change fatigue. There are opportunities to improve communication and alignment between teams to reduce handoff delays and ensure a more seamless experience for both employees and customers. Feedback is encouraged, but don’t be fooled. Nepotism is at an all time high here as well. I’ve never worked in such a small team with over 4+ family members on the same team, with one being the direct Executive Director over said team of family members. Definitely don’t loop in HR with any complaints of leadership, mistreatment, or discrimination- you will be walked out the door, but not before lack of investigation of said complaints. Overall a great company, but there needs to be some reevaluation of senior leadership and Executive leadership.

Pros

- Trips to Arizona during the summer and Chicago during the winter - Lots of time and money wasting on contractors and remote employees - Your next job is going to feel like heaven - Plenty of unnecessary meetings just to listen to leadership convince you everything is going great - +1 star only because I wasn't fired from their layoffs

Cons

- You will not be paid anywhere near market value (worse if you live in an area with HCOL) - They will micromanage you down to the minute - You will be ignored - If you're a contractor good luck getting converted to full time - They cut corners in weird ways to afford all the contractors, unnecessary business trips and bonuses for upper management (again, micromanaging down to the minute when you clock in) - Health/dental coverage was modified to be cheaper for hourly employees so good luck with your doctor or dentist bill if you visit more than once a year
