Pros

Strong company culture, understanding of personal lives outside of work, management truly does care about employees, flexible hours, amazing benefits package, friendly coworkers, work hard/play hard mentality, clear long term vision from top management

Cons

Can be bureaucratic at times, underperformers are not always dealt with properly, effectiveness of local management runs along a broad spectrum, could be a challenging place for someone who is looking to climb clearly defined rungs of a career ladder.

Pros

Normal Hours, Good Culture, Growth Opportunities, Great Location to Work, Mostly Positive Environment - It is professional and results driven (like most jobs), but the atmosphere is relaxed and mostly happy.

Cons

Compensation is a bit low-to-fair. Not quite sure how the vacation days work. You get 2-to-potentially-3 weeks, but by the time it is sorted out, it's almost March and no vacation can be taken going into October.

I was able to learn and hone many essential skills that I can use anywhere I go in the insurance industry, alongside a quality group of employees and staff. From the technical assistants all the way up to the brokers, a vast majority are willing to take a moment and personally answer any questions you have. It has been a great opportunity so far and I highly recommend the company to anyone seriously considering a career in insurance. Continued education is offered and encouraged, and events for the staff are always top notch.

Cons

Unless you really enjoy insurance, work can become a bit boring. There is also a patience factor that comes into play when waiting on correspondence needed from an agent or carrier.
