Pros

There are some incredibly talented people who work for this company. Anaplan as a whole really strives to provide an innovative and flexible space to work in. Anaplan also offers a great product that really disrupts the space. Great CEO Unlimited PTO Great Maternity/Paternity Benefits

Cons

There are 1 or 2 extremely toxic people who are ruining it for everyone and causing very talented people to leave. Instead of seeing the people who are the issue, the departures of multiple people in one department are explained away as they didn't like "change" or were just creating drama. HR has basically ignored repeated complaints regarding these toxic people whereas at other companies they would have been fired for code of conduct violations a long time ago. Although the CEO is great, he is not tuned in to what is happening in some departments and the efforts of other C-Suite leaders implementing things that go against the culture that Anaplan is built on such as flexible work environments and unlimited PTO. Although Anaplan is generally a "young" company there are are people in leadership roles that are completely under qualified and were promoted without any interview or screening process. They just advocated for themselves and played the politics instead of working hard and making a difference.

Pros

• Anaplan is an amazing product (really, it is) and career-wise, it is a good time to hop on board. • For the most part, there is a great energy in the office. • The SF office is very cool and startup-y with tons of snacks, occasional catered meals, awesome office space, etc.

Cons

• Why are 90% of the people here upper level management? It's like a big boys' club of former SAP execs whereas they don't hire enough of the actual doers. Which brings me to… • Mid- and entry- level staff aren't compensated adequately for the amount of hours they are expected to work. Raises are minimal and "promised" bonuses aren't delivered. There also aren't a lot of other opportunities outside the job description. • VERY odd team and company dynamic. For all the declarations that "we're completely transparent!" a lot of backhanded things seem to happen that aren't in the employees' best interests. • And oh yeah, HR solicited (putting it mildly) all these glowing employee reviews – so when something seems to good to be true, it usually is too good to be true…

Pros

Comp is still good, foot soldiers are reasonably friendly

Cons

Org is in total chaos, way too top heavy, so many execs jockeying for position and not enough worker bees to accomplish anything, constant strategy/organizational pivots, layoffs are a constant threat, people are lazy/demotivated, every meeting feels like a trip to the gulag, everyone talks about leaving all the time, work life balance is bad because of meeting volume with so many remote workers, budgets are being gutted, no career advancement/obsession with filling open roles from the outside mostly with former consultants who can’t execute, just generally a sad and boring place to be
