      One Smart CMO

      Pros

      I've worked for a number of CMOs in my career, but I must say that I've never worked for one who was smarter and sharper than Anaplan. Whether you're an experienced marketer or a newbie to the industry, you WILL learn a lot from Grant, and in no uncertain terms.

      Cons

      The open, cubeless work environment makes it difficult to concentrate if you're trying to write copy or edit content under deadline.

      Pros

      Anaplan has a really interesting and compelling cloud-based product. Probably one of the most fun to sell and to demo products I have encountered. Good balance between responsibilities and freedom enabling a decent work-life balance.

      Cons

      The compensation package does not match the role and does not compete well with other companies in the cloud/software industry. Barely no one reached their goals, minimizing bonus payouts. Moving to another SW company, my base pay increased by more than 50% and my bonus is more than 4 times higher. And the rest of the compensation package is a lot better (HUGE difference).

      Pros

      We're finally starting to act like a real company, and under the management of the c-suite, post-the former CEO, the future is looking bright.

      Cons

      Reserving judgement on this until after changes are made. The company is still in flux, but the changes coming look good.
