Pros

They let you work from home.

Cons

I was promised a performance bonus. My review was just low enough to deny my bonus. Nobody told me it wouldn't be paid, I found out by going through my paystubs carefully. When I quit, the company shortchanged me a week's worth of salary. When I sent them an email with all the correct dates, details, etc. they said there had been a mistake and that they would pay me in the next two business days. I got paid, but if I hadn't been paying attention I would be out a week's pay. The company pays employees one week in arrears so you have to be very careful and make sure all the amounts are correct.

We appreciate you taking the time to leave a review and for your time spent employed at Angi. While it's great to hear you enjoyed the benefits of working from home, we'd like to unpack your concerns around annual bonuses and compensation payouts. Many full-time team members, depending on their team and role, are provided an annual performance bonus which is paid out at the beginning of the year and approved by their manager. This figure is not guaranteed as there are many factors that contribute to bonus payouts including individual performance. We aim to be transparent about performance by holding quarterly 1:1 conversations so adjustments can be made in advance of bonus payouts. On a separate note, we're sorry there was a discrepancy in the last paycheck you received that was not reflective of your last week employed with us. This is not a common occurrence and one that our accounting teams were able to quickly rectify. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention to ensure one-off errors such as these do not transpire in the future. Thank you for your time spent as a valued Angi team member and we wish you the best in your next endeavor. - Laura Kato, SVP HR

Pros

1) I gained some great experience working with some wonderful coworkers. 2) My first manager was fantastic. 3) They promoted from within.

Cons

1) Leadership cannot be trusted. After 3 months, there was a major layoff that leadership handled extremely poorly: (1) they announced it to the company before telling everyone who was being let go, (2) they said they were letting people go who lacked certain skills, but actually let some people go who were excellent employees who had those skills. 2) The code base is incredibly complex, can be very difficult to work with, and takes some time to gain familiarity. 3) At times, you are at the mercy of other teams to test your code.

We appreciate you sharing your feedback with us and for your time spent as an Angi team member. Being "All About Talent" is one of the core values we strive to live out daily and we're encouraged to hear you saw this exemplified through your interactions with your colleagues and manager, and witnessed the opportunities we provide to promote from within. That said, we are troubled by the remainder of your review. Change is hard, but we always make it a priority to be transparent and communicate team changes as soon as we can. As an organization who has served homeowners for over 25 years, we have the benefit of incorporating brands to our code base that each provide Angi with a different competitive edge to build the best products for our customers. Incorporating new code to any long standing code base involves multiple teams working together and testing to ensure deployments launch smoothly and bring us one step closer to achieving our mission of becoming the home for everything home. Learning how our system works is an integral part of being onboarded to any of our technical teams and we are proud of the collaborative teams we have who work hard to push our efforts forward one deployment at a time. We wish your experience here was more positive, and wish you the best in your future endeavors! - Jess Haber, VP Talent Acquisition
