Pros

Management allows you to be self directed and choose your own priorities to work on. 2 cases of free beer each week. The actual work is challenging and interesting. Starting this year a bonus program was initiated. The actual payout of the each individuals bonus has yet to be determined.

Cons

No one get promoted over 30 years old. The benefits used to be some of the best in industry but since the buyout they get worse every year. Salaries are frozen indefinately. Pension plan is being eliminated in 2012.

Pros

the old company was a lot of fun, I enjoyed coming to work, and spending time with my fellow employees. New company had to change, no doubt about that.

Cons

The new company, while not "bad" - isn't as much fun for the simple fact that everyone else is not happy - so much talent and friends are leaving
