      Working with the animals, feeling like you make a difference in the lives of the animals

      Cons

      toxic management, poor leadership, favoritism, bullying, passive-aggressiveness, low pay, departments refusing to talk to one another, clear divides between staff members of various departments, ignoring blatant abuse of staff, refusing to hire the appropriate number of staff and instead stacking all responsibilities into roles that are stretched far too thin
