Pros

love the first few products that we launched things changed this year especially the focus lack of engineer talent is true, they just can't hire and pay at grade for some reason, the focus has changed this year and the new product looks grim

Cons

brutal management that even PHDs can't figure out location location location not for south bay people finance team is just in disarray

My dream job

Pros

Anki is an amazing place work with really high quality people and always an opportunity to learn. It's part robotics start up, consumer electronics company, part toy company, part video game studio, part animation studio. I don't know anywhere else you could find this diversity of skills and interests all working on the same products. Unlike so many other robotics companies I've been part of or close to, Anki understand customer centered design and that to be successful a robot has to be a product, not just a neat platform.

Cons

Being in San Francisco you're stuck with either outrageous housing costs or a long commute. But at least it's central. Anki isn't a start up but it still operates very lean so be prepared for crunch times occasionally.

Pros

1. Clear long-term vision 2. Clear path to land on the vision 3. Great people culture that facilitates creativity and collaboration 4. Learning, taking actions, improving, and continue learning - this is in the company's DNA

Cons

Growing pain but I have high confidence in leadership to scale up the company
