Every Decision By Leadership Made Things Worse

Pros

Almost all of the people I worked with directly were fantastic people and extremely competent. The ability to work remotely was a great improvement. PTO and paid holidays were generous.

Cons

Attempted to create "fun" culture while crushing any attempts within offices to have a functioning culture. (Example: cutting budgets for office events while spending several thousand dollars to produce a "fun" music video where the executive team lip synched.) Across more than 3 CEO's (in the less than 3 years I worked there), the leadership team seemed more focused on creating a mission statement that sounds good to potential clients instead of actually addressing the problems in the company. The only promotions that were ever regularly approved were for VP level and above, while the rest of the work force remained stagnant. They did not factor in cost of living into any annual pay increases, and leadership did not seem to understand why capping merit increases to a low percentage came off as demeaning. Benefits are noncompetitive. Overall, leadership seemed to ignore any issues they're employees were having, and then seemed shocked/confused when employees left and client relationships deteriorated due to the employees leaving.

Pros

Galleria location Great PTO (if you can use it) Modern/Cool Office design

Cons

Ansira has lost several clients, worth millions per year, and hasn’t been able to replace those losses with new accounts. There are way too many non-billable senior staff positions who provide no value to the organization or clients. The company transitioned from being a service-oriented CRM agency and has tried to position itself, rather poorly, as a martech company. Ultimately this transformation has destroyed the value that the company had been built on.

Toxic culture, poorly defined roles, inept leadership

Pros

Relatively interesting work if you're lucky enough to be assigned to a forward-thinking client.

Cons

High leadership turnover. Lack of company direction and strategy. Lack of transparency to employees. Leadership incapable of setting strategic direction and driving toward goals. Strategy seems to be reactive, rather than proactive in addressing client needs. Toxic culture amongst teams, which leadership refuses to address. Tyrant mentality amongst certain team leaders. Delivery teams are over-worked and never properly consulted before client commitments are made. Technologies and processes implemented are archaic, taking several weeks to deliver for clients what should take mere days. Roles are ill-defined, leading to over-worked employees with limited career growth. Company does a poor job of integrating teams after acquisitions and across geographical locations.
