Everyone loves what they do and understands how their jobs directly impacts animals. Management looks at and responds to employee surveys and is working towards improvement.

Cons

Things can happen slowly, especially if reaching out to VCA is involved (parent company).

Pros

Overall good place to work if you're learning. I work in a good department with a great manager, so I feel appreciated. My manager is great about providing extra training when needed, and advancement when available.

Cons

The benefits are pretty bad, and you do pay a lot out of pocket. Your starting pay means EVERYTHING. If you do not fight for a good starting pay, you will only get 3% yearly. That is ridiculous.
