Good place to start career

Pros

Good place to start in the insurance industry. Pays for insurance designations, has tuition reimbursement and an apprentice program. Team is great to work with and are very knowledge insurance professionals.

Cons

Depending on the department not much room for advancement after one promotion. It’s one promotion and then you either are stuck, try to move to management (good luck) or transfer to a different department and take your chances there. Pay seems to be lower when compared to competitors.

Company that is adapting to the times

Pros

- No micromanaging for high performing and experienced employees. They trust you'll get the job done. - Great work life balance. Just rolled out companywide "smart working" model on a go forward basis and have given many companywide holidays since the pandemic started to ensure employees don't burnout. - Good compensation and bonus structure - Many different benefit options to choose from. - Limitless resources and helpful and respectful colleagues. - Many different career opportunities.

Cons

- Typical large company issues you'd see anywhere. - End of year is often pretty busy, but that's the insurance industry, not Aon specific.
