Good, bad and ugly

Pros

Some smart people here. Competitive benefits etc. A job for life... until the next merger.

Cons

Phony culture. The corporation has spent a lot of money on formulating some glossy materials on "core values" but the core values that would make this a nice and productive place to work are sorely absent The insincerity starts at the top and feeds all the way down. This organization was built out of 20 acquisitions in 20 years and a fair deal of "downsizing" during the process. No surprise then that acquisition and ambition overshadows any attempt to create something that employees can take pride in. No doubt there are pockets of productivity, motivation and fulfillment here or there, but in total, so much wasted potential!
