Pros

Work life balance was good. Initial starting salary for young college graduates is great. Aon has a healthy culture of collaboration and education.

Cons

Raises are not the most competitive. The different departments at the company are too siloed.

Pros

Experience working at Aon made it extremely easy to find a much better job

Cons

Toxic, stressful, extremely poor work/life balance (I would work day in and day out), treated entry-level analysts like incompetent children, extremely underpaid for the amount of work that was done, Minneapolis location did not treat black people well despite advertising as being "inclusive". micromanaged every single day, which made it hard for me to focus and succeed, made entry-leave pass a ridiculously hard class (if you don't pass, you get fired, if you black of course). My white counterpart didn't pass but she never got fired.

Pros

The company culture is diverse and brings the best out of its employees. Everyone is positioned for success. AON also prides itself on talent and builds new talent through apprenticeships.

Cons

They are moving to a hybrid model
