Pros

Benefits, good workers and global exposure

Cons

Managers here act as teachers and can penalize you for unexpected reasons, affecting promotions or increments. Often, decisions rely on one person’s opinion, and no one questions it. The New York teams are great to work with. In India, we tend to overcomplicate things, like requiring office attendance during Diwali week or not allowing work-from-home during personal emergencies. Recognition is limited. Mistakes are often highlighted with pride, while more frequent and fair recognition could work wonders. At times, it doesn’t feel transparent, raising concerns about favoritism. As the firm grows, empowering the next level of management will be more effective than centralizing control. Leadership should be fair, transparent, and empathetic. Making compensation decisions based on personal issues is unfair and discouraging. As simple as the support staff in restrooms for a particular floor have high attrition, they are being terminated for the fact that their phones are being charged in a washroom. Think these are basic things to be at times be compassionate about and assertive to give a warning than to have people be fired. They are lower middle class folks with higher dependency on salary and they need to be groomed.
