      Bad remote culture

      Pros

      - Nice PTO and benefits - Flexible location and hours

      Cons

      - No connectivity for remote employees and bad remote benefits (not even an office chair) - Pay is uncompetitive - No cost of living or inflation adjustment, and most annual bonuses are below inflation - Not invested in treating freelance workers well (they recently had to unionize) - No time, money or attention spent on ESG initiatives (and no interest from the board)

      Pros

      - AppFolians are incredibly collaborative - AppFolio has a very inclusive environment and makes you feel a part of the culture even if you're remote - Clear goals - Transparency from leadership

      Cons

      Honestly, the cons are not negative; they are due to how the company has grown so rapidly. - Product is very complex which makes onboarding lengthy - Company has grown very fast so trying to simplify and scale

      Pros

      Work from home and health benefits are good there are good people there. However office politics are at play.

      Cons

      Training is unnecessarily difficult. You are put under tremendous pressure to pass poorly structured test littered with misspelled words. The work environment can be extremely stressful at times.
