      Pros

      AppFolio has undergone significant changes in the last 6 months. Many of these changes have been driven by the new leadership team - a team that has been focused on re-centering AppFolio's strategy, and making long overdue difficult decisions. The focus on Real Estate (vs multi-vertical) is the right move, and AppFolio is now consistently delivering meaningful innovation to its customers. AppFolio is constantly changing - and that will happen in an organization that is growing, delivering innovation, and also looking to create financial freedom by increasing profitability. AppFolio is competitive as it relates to benefits and perks, and holds a positive culture (even better in office). Also, you can really grow here by solving real business challenges and doing hard things.

      Cons

      The current "hybrid" environment can be challenging, but AppFolio is working through it, just like everyone else. The legacy culture has been slow to evolve. There are long tenured or more junior AppFolians that need to level up. The internal response to the recent people reductions was harder than it needed to be, largely due to a fixed mindset.

      Pros

      The best place to work in Santa Barbara if an in-person culture is important to you. The people are wonderful, new leadership is decisive and transparent, and the perks like in-office barista and always fun events, food, activities are the best.

      Cons

      Some people who have been here a long time or never worked anywhere else respond with toxic behavior to even minor changes. Move on and let the rest of us enjoy working here!
