Don’t be fooled by their claims

Pros

Decent comp plan but don’t expect to make much more than your base.

Cons

My reason for joining Appian was because of the culture that they touted during the interview and training process - truly disappointed that their claims didn’t hold up. Terrible sales leadership - the worst I’ve ever experienced in my entire sales career. A lot of micro management. Very little brand recognition and messaging is overly complicated. Very few people selling anything. Only about 10% actually meeting quota and even less over achieving their numbers. They focus so much on getting marketing rights from a new customer that deals either end up lost or the relationship with the customer is permanently damaged because of it. Overall just an incredibly toxic work environment.
